Healing Crystals and Gemstones

The crystals and gemstone phase of my journey was quite unique in itself as I had no knowledge of the healing properties of crystals and gemstones.  I first started to get attracted to the crystal world while in search for the symbol of the Star of David (see Channeling Energies).  Initially, this was in the form of crystal jewelry; at times I would get hugely attracted to a specific colored stone and couldn’t seem to gaze away from a piece of jewelry in that particular shade.  The more this happened, the more I realized that perhaps there was something more that I should be aware of and subsequently bought books on this subject matter.  This was when I became aware of the healing properties attributed to the mineral kingdom.

Going into a crystal store was a wonderful new experience, the energy I felt coming from the crystals was enormously powerful.  As I started to trust this energy flow, I would purchase only those pieces that I felt strongly attracted to.  What I found was that each crystal or gemstone I was attracted to was very much aligned with the healing that I needed at that time whether it was emotional or physical healing.  Slowly but surely the crystal jewelry started to get replaced with the purchasing of rock crystals and gemstones.

I believe that each unique crystal helped speed up the recovery of whichever issue I was working on and experiencing at that time.  I believe there is a tremendous power behind crystal healing but we have no way of quantifying or measuring these healing abilities. 

Another aspect which was emerging was the connection of different colored stones being used on different parts of my body.  When I delved into this a little deeper I found a correlation to the Eastern belief system of the Chakra centers (which I will cover under a separate page) coincided with the different colored crystals I was using on myself.

There are literally hundreds of different types of crystals and gemstones in the world; consequently, I will only introduce the healing properties of a few that aided me in my early days of healing.

Rose Quartz Crystal

This was the first crystal that I was attracted to in shades of a beautiful soft pink.  It is considered an excellent crystal for healing of emotional wounds when placed on the heart chakra.  The energy that I found from the Rose Quartz Crystal was one of radiance of love.

Obsidian

Obsidian comes in various shades like grey, brown, and blue, I was personally attracted to the black obsidian rock which is a lustrous black glass like rock.  The most important aspects of this rock for me were its grounding and protection properties.  It is considered to be excellent for stabilizing internal and external energies and keeping one from physical or emotional harm.

Moonstone

This is a beautiful opalescent white stone which has many attributes associated with it. For me, I believe its power to alleviate emotional tension and to enhance the positive and the creative is what I needed it for the most.  It is also considered to be a stone that helps in connecting to your intuitive abilities enhancing perception and discernment.

Azurite

The piece of Azurite that I gravitated towards was deep blue in color with tiny little silver sparkles.  This crystal is considered to enhance ones ability to connect with their intuitive ability and psychic selves (through the stimulation of the 3rd eye chakra).  It is also thought to aid in developing a deeper connection to the heart enabling the more compassionate you to be more present.

Lapis Lazuli

I was given a beautiful piece of jewelry with a big lapis lazuli stone that I instantly fell in love with, as I have said many times over, I don’t believe in coincidences and instinctively knew that I needed this stone.  Lapis Lazuli is intended to activate and energize the throat chakra.  I believe it enabled me to start “speaking my truth” where in the past I had remained silent.  There are many other attributes associated with this stone such as enhancement of awareness, intellectual capacity and gaining clarity.  

Calcite

Calcite comes in many shades ranging from clear to green, orange, pink and many more.  The shade I found myself buying was a very pale yellow.  Calcite is said to help the mind and body to remember information when channeling or during astral travel.  The clear and golden calcite are also supposed to be excellent energy sources to use on the crown Chakra.  I personally remember using my calcite to release energy blockages from my solar plexus.

Clear Quartz Crystal

There are many attributes associated with the clear quartz crystal so I will just list a few which I believe were applicable to me at that time.  The quartz crystal provided for me purification of my physical, mental and spiritual body.  I believe it assisted in healing at many levels that I cannot even name, I know that I used this stone in many shapes and sizes to clear blockages throughout my body.  It is considered to be a “stone of power” and I believe there are no limitations in the ways in which this stone can help.

As I said earlier there are just too many crystals and gemstones to delve into, but I did want to give you an overview of a few. I found the synchronicity of what I was going through at the time with what I was intuitively attracted to quite remarkable. If you find yourself being attracted to various crystals and gem stones it could be an indication for you to pay attention and listen to what the mineral kingdom is trying to tell you.

I will emphasize that if you are looking to purchase crystals for your own personal use, trust your inner knowingness because you will be guided or attracted to whatever it is your body needs at this moment in time. I will also emphasize that the healing I achieved using crystals and gemstones was my own personal experience; your experience will be quite unique and your own.
